Calibration Technician

Trescal (Australia) is looking for his/her new team member in Queensland. Join an amazing team in our new facility located in Brisbane suburbs.

The Role

The responsibilities of this role include performing a wide variety of calibration and repair services including:

  1. Mechanical Testing
  2. Heat & Temperature Testing
  3. Electrical Testing

The work carried out by Trescal Australia is a mixture of in-house and on-site calibrations.

The Person

  • Prior calibration experience in any of the following domains / fields would be highly advantageous in being a successful candidate for the role: 

    Force – Compression & Tension

    Balances and Mass

   Torque

    Dimensional, Calipers, Dial Gauges etc..

    Pressure, Temperature & Heat

  • Previous calibration in a NATA accredited laboratory would be highly desirable.
  • Full Queensland Driver’s Licence and clean driving record.
  • MS Office proficient.
  • Professional presentation and approach to the job, colleagues and clients.
  • Professional level of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Able to work autonomously on a day to day basis and manage time effectively.
  • Reliable, committed and highly motivated to providing a quality service.
  • The successful candidate must have full working rights within Australia.

DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION MANAGER – GROUP

Missions:

  • Manage the group portfolio of digital transformation projects and ensure that key projects go to the deployment phase
  • Assist with the development of new fit-for-purpose digital solutions to improve operational efficiency and improve service level
  • Champion the digital transformation tools and conduct training to relevant departments within the organization
  • Keep up-to-date with digital trends and best practices; responsible for discovery and experimentation of new and innovative technology and solutions to solve business issues
  • Build and develop in-house digital capabilities to help the company maximize returns
  • Develop a digital culture at Trescal

Tasks:

  • Manage digital transformation projects and link closely with the IT department to ensure technical requirements are understood and addressed
  • Ensure projects are implemented operationally
  • Identify and coordinate external partners
  • Get country buy-in to go to Proof of Concept phase for digital projects
  • Communicate internally on digital solutions to ensure maximum roll-outs in Trescal countries
  • Support deployment of digital solutions with appropriate training
  • Network with external digital transformation professionals to identify practices and tools to introduce at Trescal
  • Manage project budget

Skills, Competencies & Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in successfully managing and implementing projects
  • Experience of facilitating and leading multi-discipline teams
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken) to demonstrate clear interpretation and presentation of results to various stakeholders
  • Experience with digital or innovation projects
  • Fluent in English
  • Degree level in Science / Engineering / IT
